Hi, I want to use prosper202 to track a bunch of different campaigns on different ppv networks like Leadimpact, Ezanga, DIrect CPV, media traffic and others. how would you best recommend i do that?
Hey,
Sure you can use Prosper202 to track a bunch of different PPV networks.
For that amount of traffic and redirects you'll definitely want to use either a VPS or Dedicated server.
Once installed you would setup your PPV campaigns just like a regular PPC campaign. It all works the same. You'll need to pay particular attention to the way the PPV networks use dynamic keyword insertion so you can get the URL's or keywords that are converting.
I hope that helps out...
Thanks for the question,
Derek

“You’ll need to pay particular attention to the way the PPV networks use dynamic keyword insertion so you can get the URL’s or keywords that are converting.”
OK, how do I ask? “How do you, LeadImpact, use dynamic keyword insertion?” Do you mean, their syntax? Could I find this out without asking them?
By the way, my experience with T202 (prior to having installed P202 yesterday using your videos) is that conversions didn’t show. Do you have an off-hand explanation for this, or can you point me to some pertinent documentation? It’s nearly the heart and soul of ‘why’ T202, and I’d like to break through that problem. Again, the keywords and urls show their numbers, but the conversions column is always desolate.
P.S. – looking forward to your Tracking and Testing 101 information. More than any other subject on marketing, it’s remarkable how little teaching exists regarding testing. Everyone says it’s important, but no one seems to go into detail or to even cover the fundamentals of testing.
Thanks for helping so actively,
Tom Manke
Hey Tom,
You can ask about keyword pass-through or target pass-through or keyword insertion… and how you can do it on that network.
I usually just do a Big G search for the network + keyword pass-through or target pass-through or keyword insertion.
For instance when you do a search for Lead Impact + keyword pass-through it leads you to a help page:
https://www.leadimpact.com/help/
From here you can click on tools and then on keyword pass-through and it tells you how to set it up.
As far as conversions, you either need to setup a tracking pixel, post-back URL or manually update your subids. Otherwise you won’t get any conversion data.
I’ll be adding more videos to the member’s area soon, one of which will be how to setup the tracking pixel, post-back URL and do manual updates. I think that will help a lot.
Once I finish up these last Prosper202 videos for the PPC Affiliates, I’ll be working on Tracking and Testing 101 videos, which I hope will help out. I can’t wait to get them out. It’s hard to find good info about testing and tracking, I agree.
You’re welcome Tom… I really appreciate the comment and the chance to help out.
Thanks,
Derek
