Very cool... Well for PPV especially you'll want to look beyond shared hosting. A VPS at a minimum and once you get going good probably a step up to a dedicated server.

Shared hosting just has too many limitations... A major issue is redirect speed. With PPV you'll pound your server with traffic and a lot of times it just won't keep up.

HostGator works, but in many cases your redirect speeds can be pretty slow costing you views and most likely sales too.

So you need to think heavily about server performance.
